Ernie has over fifteen years patent and trade marks experience and specialises in mechanical, computer software, telecommunications and electrical fields of technology. Ernie has experience negotiating and drafting licensing agreements with US companies, and drafting validity and infringement opinions concerning US patents. Ernie previously worked at the General Motors Proving Ground as a project engineer where he developed fatigue life test systems for vehicle suspension components. After receiving his law degree, Ernie worked in the field of technology transfer at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology and at the University of Maryland. He then acted as the Licensing Director for Technology Transfer and as Associate Patent Counsel at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland before joining Fisher Adams Kelly in 2003. Ernie became a Partner of Fisher Adams Kelly in July 2009.
