Ernst specialises in the mechanical and industrial fields of engineering. After graduating as a Mechanical-Industrial Engineer from the University of Stellenbosch South Africa he worked for Schlumberger Oilfield Services as a field engineer in the North African oil and gas fields. He then joined one of the leading patent firms in South Africa whilst studying towards his law degree. Ernst was admitted as an attorney in South Africa and registered as a South African Patent Attorney before joining Fisher Adams Kelly in the Physical Sciences team.
